If you are in the DC area, please come to our office to hear Susan Eaton introduce her new book about successful immigrant integration efforts from across the U.S. — Integration Nation: Immigrants, Refugees, and America at its Best (published by the New Press). This book originated in research for the “One Nation Indivisible” project, a joint effort of PRRAC and the Charles Hamilton Houston Institute. Lead paint and children: We joined many other national groups in a HUD petition for rule making led by the Shriver Center and Loyola University Law School Clinics to update HUD lead paint protocols in accordance with the latest scientific and medical knowledge.
“Urban America Forward” National Conference on March 4th in Washington, DC, will culminate a yearlong series of civil rights roundtables hosted by the University of Chicago Office of Urban Affairs. The March 4th Conference will lay out a forward-looking civil rights agenda for the next administration. Register here.
