Dolbeare Lifetime Service Award at their national conference awards reception on Tuesday, March 19 at 6:00 at the Washington Court Hotel. Please save the date and register now! The recipient of the other annual award from the coalition, the Edward W. Brooke, III Housing Leadership Award will be Senator Olympia Snowe (R-ME), a housing champion who recently retired after 18 years in the U.S. Senate. Department of Education neglects to include school diversity again: With other members of the National Coalition on School Diversity, we joined a formal comment letter critiquing proposed guidelines for the “Investing in Innovation” competitive grant program. Although the Department approved “school diversity” as a general grant criterion two years ago, we have been frustrated by their failure to include it in their major competitive grant programs.
