Housing mobility in the House Budget: In addition to substantial increases in funding for Housing Choice Vouchers and other HUD programs, the House Appropriations Committee 2020 budget bill would also add $25 million to the 2019 Housing Mobility Demonstration, essentially doubling the size of this new grants program. A fair share housing plan for Washington DC? DC Mayor Muriel Bowser has announced an ambitious housing plan to address the severe housing shortage and gentrification pressures in the city – including a goal to distribute new affordable housing equitably throughout the city. Great housing mobility job in Boston: The Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development is hiring a new position that includes coordination of state’s new housing mobility program, “Supporting Neighborhood Opportunity in Massachusetts.” PRRAC has been involved through the Mobility Works technical assistance group in helping DHCD develop the pilot program.
