In the new Poverty & Race: Our summer issue features articles by Johnathan Smith (on the future of Title VI), Thomas Silverstein (reflections on housing decommodification), Stephanie Deutsch (on the role of the “Rosenwald Fellows” in the civil rights movement), and an interview with a lead activist fighting the Grants Pass homeless exclusion laws.
More state funding for housing mobility: Enterprise Community Partners has just released a new RFP to expand the state-funded “Making Moves” housing mobility programs to new locations in NY State (the program currently operates in Buffalo, Long Island, Duchess and Orange Counties, Westchester County, and the Ithaca region).
