Jessica Huseman is the editorial director for Votebeat, a non-profit news organization covering voting policy. Votebeat has reporters in Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Texas and Wisconsin. Previously, she was the lead elections reporter at ProPublica, where she managed the newsroom’s Electionland project for three federal election cycles. She teaches a course on Freedom of Information Law at the Public Policy school at American University, and has taught journalism at Columbia Graduate School of Journalism, NYU and St. Bonaventure. She holds a Masters in journalism from Columbia Graduate School of Journalism.
