Wade said CMHA has been paying close attention to programs like Seattle’s and a similar one in Chicago, with an eye toward trying to determine which services most effectively improve outcomes for families and can be adapted in Cuyahoga County. To that end, CMHA has contracted with the Poverty & Race Research Action Council in Washington D.C., which will begin by studying where current CMHA voucher recipients have used their vouchers, and what barriers stand in the way of families considering higher opportunity neighborhoods.
